Later Life Autumn Fair at Oatley Hall a Great Success

On Tuesday 23rd September, Oatley Hall at St Monica, Cote Lane, was filled with energy and conversation as we hosted the Later Life Autumn Fair. The event brought together a wide range of later life support, advice, and information alongside a fantastic selection of stalls.

It was a real pleasure to welcome not only the residents of St Monica Cote Lane but also members of the wider community, who joined us to browse, connect, and discover what services and opportunities are available locally.

We were especially delighted to have Steve Yabsley from BBC Radio Bristol with us on the day. Steve chatted to stallholders and attendees, capturing the spirit of the fair, and later in the week we were thrilled to be featured on the radio!

The fair was organised as part of our ongoing work with the Later Life Alliance, and we’re proud to have provided a platform for key charities and organisations to share their work. These included:

  • BRACE Dementia Research

  • Age UK Bristol

  • Alive Activities

  • Bristol Dementia Action Alliance

Each organisation plays a vital role in supporting older people and their families, and it was wonderful to see so many conversations taking place, raising awareness and helping people find the information and support they need.

We’d like to thank everyone who joined us on the day and made the fair such a success. Events like this highlight the power of community and collaboration in later life – bringing people together, sharing knowledge, and ensuring support is accessible to all.
